Appraisals: We offer a complimentary appraisal for your ring from our Graduate Gemologist, Robert Ernst Jr. Most appraisals are done for the purpose of obtaining insurance coverage in the case of loss, damage, or theft.

Diamond Upgrade: Hoping for a bigger diamond down the road? At Ernst, we promise to give you what you paid for your natural DIAMOND if you want to upgrade in the future!


Items may be placed on layaway for up to 90 days. Items placed on layaway require a non-refundable deposit equal to 30% of the purchase price. Layaways which have not been paid in full within 90 days are subject to cancellation and forfeiture of all payments.

 Completed layaways are not returnable or exchangeable.

  • Item is returned to stock if regular monthly payments are not received. We will attempt to contact the purchaser to remind them of this before returning the item to stock.
  • Delinquent items will be returned to stock and the purchaser will forfeit a 20% restocking fee. The remaining balance will be carried as an in-store credit only unless prior arrangements are made.
  • Alterations on layaways will be done after final payment and notification from the customer that work is to be done.
